In this series we are going through the book of Revelation from the view point of normal, literal interpretation of Scripture. As our doctrinal statement states, we believe the normal interpretation of Scripture leads to an understanding of the end times that has the church looking forward to the Rapture (the next event in the prophetic timeline) when we will be caught up together to meet with the Lord in the clouds (1 Thess. 4:13-18), after which the Lord’s focus returns to His Chosen People – Isreal, and the seven year Tribulation. Following this the Lord will return physically and in His resurrection body with His saints to establish is 1,000 year reign on the Throne of David. The book of Revelation offers abundant blessing to the believer today. Giving confidence and assurance that the Lord is in control, that our position in the heavenlies is assured (Eph. 2:6), and that Christ could return at any moment for us.
